Lindy Rothenburger
Senior Vacation Travel Consultant and Cruise Specialist, MCC
Phone Number: (604) 605-5177
Expertise: Vacation planning - including cruises and wedding groups. Master Cruise Counsellor.
Bio: Lindy has lived all over Canada, but she kept returning to Vancouver. She finally adopted an old adage and permanently made her home where her heart is. Switching careers in 1999 from business administration to travel, she is living out her life-long dreams. She can't believe she gets to do what she loves every day and be paid to do it!!!
All her life Lindy has been called "Sunshine" and she brings that sunny personality into her work. She thinks travel should be fun; not work!
A perpetual student at heart, Lindy attends classes at every opportunity to continually upgrade her destination expertise. She is a Certified Cruise Counsellor, and has Specialist training in Asia, the Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Las Vegas, Puerto Vallarta, and planning destination weddings. She has personally travelled to Western & Eastern Europe, Russia, China, Bali, India, Hawaii, Iceland, The Maldives, Mexico, parts of USA and most of Canada.
Favourite Place: She gets animated when talking about Iceland or St. Petersburg, Russia, but Prague is her favourite. "I love everything old and Prague does the best job of old. It's like walking through a fairy tale! The buildings are incredible! Make sure you attend a concert or ballet at the State Opera House. Even if the performance isn't anything to write home about, the building is!! Be sure to take your camera."
Hobbies: Browsing for antiques, downhill skiing, cycling, travel, reading about far away places and cultures, photography, and spending time with family and friends.
Travel Tip: Don't use the public toilets in Europe. There is something about having to pay to use the facilities that just goes against my grain - especially when they are so dirty. I just went into the pubs and asked to use the toilet. They were clean and free. Not once was I refused.
