Forbes chooses two Mexican Resorts in their top all-inclusives

For many years, all-inclusive resorts have been preferred by most travelers visiting the beach destinations in Mexico. Most are good, many are great and a few are excellent. Some of the very top end resorts are now offering the ‘whole enchilada’ (although their cuisine doesn’t usually include enchiladas).

In their listing of the top 10 coolest all-inclusive resorts, Forbes has chosen --

Grand Velas, Riviera Maya and Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico
…….. two Grand Velas resorts in Mexico
, one on the east coast in the Riviera Maya, and one near Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific. Grand Velas made history among all-inclusives by earning the highest possible AAA 5-Diamond rating at both properties. This duo takes the traditional large beach resort all-inclusive model and raises the bar high, with fine dining restaurants that are a la carte, no buffets, top shelf liquor, 24-hour room service included, butlers, yoga and pilates classes, and first class service and amenities all around. The hotels also get 4-Diamonds for their cuisine, have won awards for their spas, and feature accommodations that rival any luxury hotels. Rooms are all suites, starring at 1,000 square feet, most with hot tubs, and the full slate of decadent touches from spa-like bathrooms to flat screen TVs.
