River cruising has to be one of the hottest trends in travel today, and it appears to be all plain sailing for Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, which seems to announce numerous improvements and additional options every single month.

In June the cruise line announced that next year it will become the only North American River cruise line to offer a truly all-inclusive river cruise experience. This is big news for those clients who love a cocktail before dinner but hate putting their hand in their pocket every time they order one.

Uniworld currently offers an impressive host of inclusions, such as all non-alcoholic beverages, wine and beer with lunch and dinner, shore excursions, free internet access and arrival and departure day transfers. But in 2014, the company will thoroughly embrace the all inclusive concept, expanding the services on its European cruises to include all gratuities and unlimited wine, beer, spirits, soft drinks and bottled water.

"Our decision was largely based on feedback from our guests and travel agency partners," explains Guy Young, president at Uniworld. "we believe this will help us further establish our positioning at the very top end of the river cruise sector.
