The biggest sea turtle I have ever seen was just in the natural drop off at the Moorea Pearl Resort a few years ago. Just on the other side of the overwater bungalows is the most amazing drop off. The water is so clear, you can see down the wall of coral probably about 30 feet until it disappears into the indigo blue of the lagoon. The biggest seat turtle was swimming below us, munching along the coral. When it came to the surface, just a few feet from me, it's back was at least 4 feet across. What a great experience to swim with this gentle giant in the most beautiful place on earth!
